Deforestation affects the world in a negative way, with the most dramatic impact being the loss of habitat for millions of species. Without an ample number of trees, the forests would lose its canopy which would cause extreme temperature. These impacts lead to a high loss of biodiversity and results in a dramatically change in rainforest ecosystem services. Therefore, this paper provides a survey of the current literature about the relationship of environmental degradation and artisanal and small-scale mining in the Congo Basin. This is problematic for the indigenous people whose lives depend upon the on the resources the rainforest provides. The loss of culture and way of life that has lasted for many generations is now gone due to the effects of deforestation.

Essay On Effects Of Deforestation
Deforestation is the removal of trees from the forest so such an extent that the ecosystem and habitats within it are destroyed. However, deforestation in Malaysia is increasing faster than anywhere else in the world due to logging, road building, mineral extraction, transmigration, commercial and subsistence farming. On a global scale, deforestation affects climate and is a major contributing factor to global climate change. This is because the tropical rainforest is a store of carbon, therefore when it is destroyed there is less vegetation to absorb carbon dioxide, and more carbon dioxide is released into the atmosphere by the burning of the vegetation itself.
The animals that thrive and procreate in the rainforests will be left with no shelter and could increase their chances of becoming extinct. Trees are a vital instrument for regulating the air and the atmosphere. As more and more trees begin to decline, carbon dioxide influences greenhouse gases, global warming, and soil erosion. However, why is deforestation occurring if there are all of these. It results from the deliberate removal of forest cover.
